Louisiana, New Orlean, Lafayette, Bourbon streat, in the rain for Carolyn, in my carburetors for me, all day stuck in a parking lot trying to get the Bus going, no go!! Black smoke in the back, heavy hesitation to no start!!! First Carb trouble but not the last, change carb, a bit better but it's a no go, put the original carb back, play with them for 4 hours (It's bean 8 hours), it's a go...to bed after at very good shrimp salad, am dead, 2 Beer and it's bed time... | Louisiane, Nouvelle orleans, Bourbon Street, Lafayette. Sous la pluie pour Caro et dans mes Carbus pour moi, toute la journée de visite a été consacrer a trouver un probleme(S) de Non-démarage, boucane noir, hésitation sévère et autre... Premier problème de carbus mais pas le dernier, au non! Change les carbus, un peut mieux mais pas roulable, remet les carbus d'origine, je joue avec pendent 4 heures et finalement le West est roulable, je dis biens roulable. Direct au camping après une bonne salade de crevette bien mériter! 2 Bieres pis DODO. |

morning, coffe and which road to use. Up to Texas, too cold in Louisiana. Un matin comme plusieurs autres matin, café et carte à la main. Destination Texas, y fait trop frette en Louisiane. |

Beautiful San-Antonio Texas, it's a nice and clean city, the
people...very nice and helpfull! Sadly, am loosing First and second gear
on the Bus, dificult to drive in town, 3 hours patching the problem with
fuel hose and tie-rap (Rear stick shift bushing). Still, we had 5 hours
to see the Alamo and walk this very nice city.

La très jolie ville de San Antonio Texas, très propre et les gens son aimable et accueillant. Petite visite au célèbre Alamo (comme tout bon touriste) , grande marche dans la ville qui par elle même est très jolie. Malheureusement la première et deuxième vitesse nous lâche, impossible de conduire en ville comme ça, je fait une réparation de fortune avec du tuyau d'essence et des "Tie-rap". Le coussinet (bushing) arriere du bras de vitesse (en dessou) nous lâche peut a peut, ma réparation est solide (je pense). |

| Going west... going west... going west... out of the freeway, south on the borders of Mexico in many small town, finally to El paso and into New Mexico, just passing... | L'ouest, l'ouest, l'ouest et encore a l'ouest. On sort de l'autoroute pour prendre des petite route secondaire qui longe le Mexique, on se perd, on arrive tard dans un bled perdu, on bois de la bière et du vin, on se couche chaud, il fait froid, j'ai envie de pisser a 2, 4 6am!!! c'est la vie salle quoi! Le lendemain, le Nouveau Mexique, on ne fait que passer, on roule, on roule... |
